The Police Service Commission on Friday said it shortlisted 110,469 candidates out of the 338, 250 candidates welcomed for the simply closed screening at the states and FCT Police Commands.

The Chairman of the commission, Mr. Mike Okiro, who unveiled this at a news meeting in Abuja on Friday said the bent tests for the successful applicants would start on August 22 over the 36 states and FCT.

He said that out of the 110, 469 candidates, 22, 454 were shortlisted for Cadet ASPs, 24, 456 for Cadet Inspectors and 63, 559 for Police Constables.


Okiro said that bent test for cadet ASPs for both general obligation and pros will start on August 22 while that of Cadet Inspectors for both general obligation and experts will hang on August 23.

He said that the test for police constables for both units would occur on August 24.

As indicated by him, record and physical screening of experts are booked for August 29 after they will have taken the inclination tests.

Okiro said that the commission held fast entirely to the necessities required from the candidates for the activity.

He said that a portion of the candidates was screened out for over age, adjustment and distortion of archives and year of graduation.

The others included physical components, tattoo marks, first school leaving declaration, endorsement of state beginning and class of degree or recognition.

He said that more than 115 candidates who were captured amid the screening for fabrication and mimic were given over to the police for examination and arraignment.

The director restated the commission’s yearning to manage the trustworthiness of the activity, saying that inquiries for the tests would just be uncovered to the organizers on the examination date.

He consoled Nigerians that the activity would be straightforward and all candidates would be given equivalent chances to seek after a job in the police.

Okiro cautioned that any hopeful found undermining the uprightness of the activity would be arraigned in accordance with surviving laws.

He said that messages have been sent to all shortlisted candidates, including that the expert rundown for every state had been sent to all state charges to glue at order central station and examination focuses.

The administrator said that the commission was not underweight from any quarter to support any applicant.

He said that there were no reports of unfortunate behavior against any organizer amid the screening.

The commission got 911,438 applications involving 262, 462 for cadet ASPs, and 211,832 for cadets Inspector and 437,144 for police constables and shortlisted 338,250 for the screening.
