The Police Service Commission (PSC) has proclaimed that 110,469 candidates are shortlisted after the recently embarked nationwide police recruitment. The PSC Chairman, Chief mike Okiro, who made it known to journalists yesterday, August 19 in Abuja, declared all the categories of applicants shortlisted for recruitment into the police would write the examination at selected colleges in their states.NIGERIAN POLICE RECRUITMENT UPDATE

He enlightened the journalists that state governors had been asked to make advertisements on radio and television to inform their citizens regarding the examination also the various venue.

According to him, 115 candidates were detained for breaches like document forgery to impersonation and others. Those found wanting have since been handed over to the police for investigation and prosecution. He conjointly made it known that some candidates were screened out of the exercise for being over-age, falsification or forging documents, tattoo marks, and having physical deformities, among several other problems. Okiro conjointly debunked rumors that he was struggling to favor some candidates, adding that the PSC adhered strictly to ordered down necessities.
He additionally mentioned that results of the paper tests would be out within one week after the examination, he said that the results will be sent to the various emails used during registrations. He also said reassuringly that nobody would see the questions till the exams day. He warned state coordinators against compromising the exercise, warning that they might be held to blame for any breach of the rules.
