NDA offers admission to both male and female Nigerians. But some requirements are to be met for various undergraduate degree programs.

To qualify for admission into the Nigerian Defense Academy, an applicants must;

*Have a Minimum of 5 Credit passes at SSCE (WAEC or NECO) or GCE O/Level obtained in not more than 2 sittings relevant to the Faculty of their choices.

*Have a Credit in English Language and Mathematics.

*At least one supporting relevant credit to the compulsory credits in faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Faculty of Science. However, only one supporting relevant credit is required in the Faculty of Engineering.

*Be at least 17 years old and not more than 21 years old at the time of entry into the Academy.

*not be less than 1.68 meters tall for male and 1.50 meters for female.

*be medically and physically fit and must be of good moral character.

*be single male or female without legal obligation to support any child or other individuals.

*Present a Certificate of Origin obtained from a Local Government Area and a Certificate of State indigeneship from the Office of the State Governor is desirable.

Applicants should also note the following,

*Awaiting results are not qualified

*Only examination results of 5 years from date will be accepted

*Currently, admission into the academy is for both male and female Nigerians only.

Method of application

Interested applicants are advised to go online and complete the application process on the school websites here. It is also advised download and read carefully, the given Instructions on the website. Students applying for admission into NDA MUST also apply to the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB), but may not necessarily select NDA as their choice of university. Therefore, applicants are expected to sit for the JAMB Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME). On completion of the online application, candidates are to download an Acknowledgment Form. When JAMB results have been released, candidates should return to the applications portal to download their Examination Admission Card. Only candidates who were able make the national cut-off mark JAMB will be allowed to participate in the NDA Entrance Examination.(do your best)

Requirements for admission

Examination date and centers

The examination is scheduled to hold on Saturday 23 April 2016. (examination will be conducted as an Entrance Examination similar to PostUTME examination in conventional universities). Eligible students are to go for the examination with the following; their Acknowledgment Form, Examination Admission Card, JAMB result slip and TWO (2) postcard sized (3.5 x 5 inches) photographs (The photographs should show only from the chest upwards and should contain the candidate’s Name, Exam number, State, Exam Centre, Course of study and Signature at the back.). only students who do well in the entrance examinations will be invited for the Armed Forces Selection Board.

Admitted students will undergo both Military and educational training as Officer Cadets for a duration of 5 years. After successful completion of training, graduates will earn an honors degree in a core discipline (BSc, BEng, BA). Graduates will equally earn a commission into the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
