Neco June/July 2017 SSCE Registration-
This is to Inform the general public that The National Examinations Council (NECO) has just mentioned that they have concluded the preparations to commerce sales for the 2017 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE).
The National Examinations Council is an examination body in Nigeria that conducts the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination and the General Certificate in Education in June/July and December/January respectively.
According to Mr. Godwin Adejo, the Lagos State Coordinator of The National Examinations Council (NECO), Plans have been concluded to ensure successful sales for the form.
In his words,
“We are putting finishing touches in commencing the sales of the form.
“Hopefully, before the end of next week, we should be able to start, although we are yet to receive the cards.
“The examination is about qualitative education for the Nigerian child.
“We want to use this opportunity to call on parents and guardians to avail themselves of the opportunity by registering their children and wards early when the form is out to avoid last minute rush,” Adejo said.
The SSCE is in two categories. One is for candidates in the third and final year of their senior secondary education and it is called SSCE Internal while the Second is SSCE External and is for candidates not in the School system, i.e. Private Candidates.
The SSCE internal has seventy-six subjects which are grouped into the following six categories.
1. Compulsory Cross-Cutting Subjects
2. Science and Mathematics
5. Business Studies and
The minimum number of subjects a candidate can sit for is eight while the maximum is nine. All Senior Secondary schools in the Federation present Candidates for the SSCE Internal.
