2018/2019 NECO examination registration Information

The Issue of Nigerian education is important to us at Naijabaze and that is why we have put up this post to enable our interested readers to know all they need to know about NECO as the 2018/2019 NECO examination registration will soon begin.

NECO SENIOR SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION is an examination which is taken by students during their stage in secondary school. In order to get a certificate that proves that a student has successful completion of secondary school in Nigeria, that student must pass all the exams. NECO stands for The National Examinations Council. In Nigeria, in order to gain admission to the university, you need to pass the University Matriculation Examination.

At the time of this post, The form for the 2018 NECO examination is not out, but this post will help you know how to register when the form is finally out. You can also read about 2018 WASSCE Registration

Interested candidates should obtain a bank draft of Eleven Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty Naira (N11,350) Only, payable to the Registrar, National Examinations Council in any of the NECO State Offices nationwide or in cash in any designated Bank or NIPOST offices nationwide.
The registration fee includes the cost for Biometric Data Capture, an Examination Ethics CD, and Administrative Charges.
Visit any internet cafe to register online via the Neco Portal: http://www.mynecoexams.com
On completion of the registration process, each candidate must obtain the following from the internet cafe:
A) NECO Time Table for the Examination.
B) One (1) clear copy of the NECO Attestation /Photo card; which should be presented for each examination.

Things to Note
  • A student can sit for a minimum of eight subjects and a maximum of nine.
  • Mathematics and English language are compulsory though Mathematics may not be required for some courses in higher institutions.
